Wing Spreading and Modeling**: This is a crucial step. With patience and skills, professional tools are used to spread and fix the wings according to the species and shapes of butterflies. The postures and antennae of the butterflies are adjusted to show their lively states. - **Drying and Shaping**: In a specific environment, professional equipment is used to control temperature, humidity and ventilation. Temperature:

Butterfly specimens are suitable to be preserved in a relatively stable temperature environment. Generally speaking, the ideal temperature range is between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius. If the temperature is too high, it may lead to the specimens becoming dry and brittle. While if the temperature is too low, the specimens may get damp and form condensation water when the temperature changes, thus damaging the specimens. For example, during the hot summer, if the specimens are placed in a position exposed to direct sunlight for a long time, the temperature may exceed 30 degrees Celsius, which will accelerate the aging of the

specimens. Humidity:

The humidity should be maintained at around 40% - 60%. If the humidity is too high, the specimens are prone to mold growth. The mold will grow on the wings and bodies of the butterflies, destroying the appearance and structure of the specimens. If the humidity is too low, the specimens will become dry and the scales on the wings of the butterflies may fall off. For instance, during the humid Meiyu season in the southern areas, it is necessary to pay attention to moisture prevention. And in the dry winter in the northern areas, it may be necessary to appropriately increase the humidity. Light: Specimens should be kept away from direct exposure to strong light, especially the ultraviolet rays in sunlight. Ultraviolet rays will cause the colors of the butterfly specimens to fade. Long-term exposure may make the originally colorful butterflies become dull. It is best to place the specimens in a relatively dark place or a place with shading measures, such as using curtains to cover the windows or storing the specimens in cabinets.

Placement:

The specimens should be placed in a stable position to avoid vibration and collision. If they are frequently subjected to vibration, the wings of the butterfly specimens may become loose or fall off, and the body parts may also be damaged. For example, don't place the specimens near doors and windows that are frequently opened and closed or in places where there is large vibration from machinery and equipment. Meanwhile, attention should be paid to avoid the specimens coming into contact with sharp or rough objects to prevent the surface of the specimens from being scratched.
